Orthodontic FAQs
When should my child first see an orthodontist?
The Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends a first evaluation by age 7. The first visit at Rivers Edge is free and there is no pressure to start treatment.
Invisalign or braces - which is better for my teen?
Both work. Invisalign Teen is removable and less visible; traditional braces handle a wider range of cases and require no compliance. We recommend the right fit at the free consultation.
How much do braces or Invisalign cost?
Cost varies with complexity. Rivers Edge gives a clear estimate at the free consultation, direct-bills insurance, and offers interest-free monthly financing.
Do you offer early or interceptive orthodontics?
Yes - phase 1 treatment for kids whose jaw growth, crowding, or airway needs early intervention.
How long does orthodontic treatment usually take?
Most full braces or Invisalign treatments run 12 to 24 months. Phase 1 early treatment is 6 to 12 months. Lightforce can shorten treatment by about 25 percent.
Do I need a referral for orthodontics?
No referral is required. Book the free consultation directly.
